I Am Thee Woman logo: a woman stepping up onto the word THEE

I Am Thee Woman

A women's empowerment movement about the step up — and the women who take it.

Founded 2015

The Logo Story

In the original 2015 mark, she stands on the first level. WOMAN.

In the 2020 mark, she stands on the second level. THEE.

One step up. That move is the whole idea — growth, progress, and the decision to keep climbing rather than stand still.

Awareness

Purple is the color of domestic violence awareness. Besides black and white, it is the only color on this site. That is deliberate.

I Am Thee Woman talks about domestic violence because silence is what allows it to continue. We share information, we keep the conversation in the open, and we point toward the people who are trained to help.

We are not a crisis service. We do not provide counseling, shelter, legal help, or intervention, and we are not the number to call in an emergency. What we do is make sure no woman has to go looking for that number alone.

To find services near you, the National Domestic Violence Hotline maintains a directory of local providers.

Where it started

From the Archive, 2016

The movement began as a blog. These posts were written in 2016 and are reproduced here exactly as they were published — same words, same dates. The spelling, grammar and punctuation throughout are Diana’s own and have not been edited.

The original blog is still online at iamtheewoman.blogspot.com.
